How we work

Who we are

An editorial catalogue funded independently of the properties it assesses.

What we do

Blavorina is an independent editorial publication covering resort hotels and entertainment destinations across South Korea's integrated resort districts. We assess properties, publish scores, and explain the reasoning; we do not sell rooms, take commission on bookings, or accept payment for placement.

Every assessment follows the same six-part rubric, applied on site. Both the score and the specific weakness we found are published, without softening.

What we measure

Six categories carry fixed weights in our scoring model. Applying the same weights everywhere is what makes one property's score meaningful against another's.

  • 25% — The casino floor and its lounges
  • 20% — Accommodation quality
  • 20% — Service and hospitality
  • 15% — Restaurants and bars
  • 10% — Location
  • 10% — Value for money

Who pays for this

Independence is structural rather than declared. No property in this catalogue has paid to appear, none has been given sight of its review before publication, and none can have a criticism removed.

When we link out to a hotel or a reservation service, it is for convenience. The contract that follows is yours and the property's alone.

When we are wrong

Errors should be reported to our editorial address with the property name and the detail concerned. Confirmed corrections are published and the page's revision date is changed accordingly.
